Station XIV: Jesus is Laid in the Tomb

Joseph of Arimathea provides his own tomb for Jesus. Our own works of charity and compassionate mercy act in like manner.

"In the eyes of the foolish, they seemed to be dead, and their going forth from us utter destruction..." (Wisdom 3:2-4)

"but the souls of the just are in the hands of God, and the torment of death shall not touch them." (Wisdom, 3:2-4)

"When evening comes, weeping enters in, but with dawn comes rejoicing." (Psalm 30:5)
